MEGHAN HAGGERTY
Meghan Haggerty is a proud Milton resident and mother of two, who has almost 20 years of experience working in state and local government. She is a graduate of Harvard College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, and holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Urban Planning from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Throughout her distinguished career in public service, Meghan has held key leadership roles, including serving as Director of Operations in the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development under Boston Mayor Marty Walsh. She has also held several positions at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), working under both former Governor Charlie Baker and Governor Maura Healey. Currently, she serves as MassDOT’s Chief Operating Officer, where she oversees critical operations that impact communities across the Commonwealth.
Since moving to Milton, Meghan has been an active member of the community. She has served on the Parent-Teacher Organizations at her children’s schools—Ben, 13, who attends Pierce Middle School, and Josie, 6, a student at Tucker Elementary School. Meghan also proudly serves as a Town Meeting Member, representing the residents of Precinct 2 with dedication and integrity.
Now, Meghan is running for the Milton Select Board to continue her commitment to public service and support the vibrant community her family calls home. If elected, she will put her extensive experience in state and municipal government to work for Milton’s residents. Meghan is dedicated to bringing creativity, fresh perspectives, and proactive solutions to the challenges our town faces. Her leadership will focus on uniting our community, addressing real issues with practical solutions, and building a future where Milton thrives for everyone.
